GUIDED MUNROS & OTHER HILLS
Throughout the year we guide on some of the finest mountains in Scotland. Our favourite areas to guide are Torridon, An Teallach & The Fisherfield Forest, Glencoe and of course here in The Cairngorms.
A ‘Munro’ is a mountain summit over 3000 ft (914.4m) There are 282 Munro summits. For many keen hillwalkers they will aim to get up all of them in their life time.
Of course, there are many other mountains and hills that don’t reach Munro height. Some of these are equally, if not more spectacular and in many ways can be easier, especially for people new to hillwalking. Some of our favorite ‘smaller’ mountains are way up in the far NW of the Highlands in Coigach and Assynt. Mountains such as Stac Pollaidh, Suilven, Quinag, Foinaven, Arkle, Cul Mor and Cul Beag are just some of our favourites.
Like most of our guided walking tips we don’t just ‘bag’ the summit in the easiest, quickest route possible. We tend to take more scenic, longer and quieter routes to these mountains. The maximum group size on our open group holidays are always kept small. This is for your own enjoyment.

SCHEDULED MUNRO TRIPS
5 days of Munro walking in Torridon.
This is the finest area in Britain for mountain walking. Glen Torridon lies in the NW Highlands, around 2 hours drive from Inverness. These spectacular summits are mostly made up of steep hillsides and narrow ridges. The ‘Big 3’ of Liathach, Beinn Eighe and Beinn Alligin are wonderful excursions and definitely on the itinerary for this 5-day walking holiday based in Torridon. On the south side of the glen are more Munro summits and equally wonderful ridges which are easily walked from near Torridon village. Beinn Liath Mhor, Sgurr Ruadh, Maol Chean Dearg . 5 days is not enough. You’ll want to return!
